HISTORY OF DUNCHIDEOCK'S ANNUAL CHILDREN'S TEA PARTY
When I was doing my research for the 3-Day Dunchideock Exhibition during 2022, there were stories of children's parties being held
at the 'big house', Haldon House, in the early 1900s, especially at Christmas time. It seemed a very good idea to bring the children's
parties back and so the Dunchideock Annual Children's Party came into being - the first one was held in 2022 at the Lord Haldon Hotel.
Shirley Phillips, Chair, Dunchideock History Society, October 2023
